On Monday, April 8th, a solar eclipse will occur between 2:00 pm and 4:30 pm. While we won't experience totality, we'll witness an impressive 95% coverage!
Before Monday, please discuss the eclipse and the importance of eye safety with your child. Emphasize that they should never look directly at the sun without proper protection, even for a brief moment. Together, we can ensure a safe and educational experience for everyone as we learn about this awe-inspiring event.


Spring break is here! There is no school starting tomorrow, Friday, March 29, 2024. Spring break will be from April 1st to April 5th. Students will return Monday, April 8, 2024. Have a great and well deserved break! #TigerNation

BHHS students were able to participate in S.T.E.M. Day at Western Michigan University! Students were able to participate in several hand-on projects and explore the different opportunities in the Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math (STEM) field. #TigerPride

Good evening Benton Harbor Area School families. This is a gentle reminder that students do not have school tomorrow, Friday, March 15, 2024, due to a District Provided Professional Development Day for staff. Classes will resume on Monday, March 18, 2024. Have a great weekend!


The Student Health Center along with BHHS staff and National Honor Society will be hosting a Voter Registration event tomorrow, March 14th, for the students of Class of 2024.
The event will be in the PAC during the 12th grade Tiger Time. Please have students bring their State of Michigan ID or know their social security number so that they can register.

Just a reminder, tomorrow, March 8, 2024, is a Virtual Learning Day. There is no in school learning for all BHAS students.
All assignments will be posted online or given to students today as work packets. Assignments must be turned in or returned by Monday in order to receive a grade. Throughout the day, be sure to respond to all two-way communication efforts from your child’s school.
