Anay'sia Washington receives the McDonald's Black History Maker Scholarship from McDonald's Owner/Operators of Greater Indiana and Southwest Michigan at Benton Harbor High School. Anay'sia was surprised by the scholarship. She said, “This scholarship changed the way I think about scholarships because I felt like I wasn't going to win."
The McDonald's scholarship gives Anay'sia a step into her future. She says “I’m very happy about getting this scholarship because it will be helping me get books or it will help me with my classes.”
