This afternoon we will witness a monumental academic milestone as the Class of 2026 walks across the stage to receive their high school diplomas. I want to extend my deepest congratulations to every single graduate who has worked so hard to cross this finish line.This achievement also belongs to our entire community. You have supported, encouraged and celebrated our students every step of their education journey. Thank you for your partnership.
Tiger excellence shines incredibly bright in this class, and I want to take a special moment to spotlight two phenomenal leaders who have especially set the bar high:
Valedictorian Carlton Burrell: Carlton's dedication to his studies has earned him the top honor in his class. This fall, he is taking his talents to Western Michigan University, with plans to major in engineering.
Salutatorian Keaira Lewis: Keaira’s exceptional hard work and leadership have earned her this prestigious distinction. She will be heading to the historic Tuskegee University in the fall, majoring in criminal justice.
Both Carlton and Keaira are a true embodiment of the resilience, focus and excellence that define what it means to be a Tiger. They are powerful reminders of the incredible talent and potential thriving within our schools and our community.
