I'm Leroy Martin.  I was born and raised in Mississippi.   That's where I also met my wife.  We've know each other since we were kids.  In 1965 I graduated from Agricultural High School, then went on to Homer Junior College.  Both schools were located in Lula, Mississippi.

I came to Michigan in 1965, my future wife came up to Michigan in 1966 and we were married.  We've been very happy together.  Our oldest son Leroy lives in Milwaukee, Wisconsin and manages a grocery store.  Our daughter Brenda teaches at the University of Pine Bluff in Arkansas, while daughter Glenda works in labor relations for Chrysler in Detroit.  Our youngest child is ten year old Brandon who is a fourth grader in Benton Harbor Area Schools.  My wife and I are very proud of  each of our children and what they have accomplished.

Before coming to work for Benton Harbor I worked for Superior Steel until it closed in 1979.  I them began working in the BHAS Adult Education Program.  When that program closed I came to McCord.

Away from work I enjoy being outdoors, doing yard work, and gardening.  When I can't be outside, I love to watch almost any kind of sports on television.
