Benton Harbor is located in the southwestern corner of the lower peninsula of Michigan. We're nestled on the shores of beautiful Lake Michigan. Just 90 miles, as the crow flies, across our "little pond" from the windy city of Chicago. Our area is known as the Sunset Coast, rich in its lush agricultural diversity and always a place visitors are welcome. Once you've come, you'll want to return again and again. Interstate-94, or as we call it I-94, will bring you right to us. Take Exit 28 (M-139) and head north. You'll be driving down restaurant row, stop and have a cup of coffee, or if you'd rather wait, someone always has a pot on in the building. While you're waiting for the traffic light at M-139 and Nickerson, glance over to your right. You'll see a sign we're all very proud of. It lets everyone know the next two miles you travel are kept clean by students and staff from our building. McCord Renaissance has participated in Michigan's Adopt-A-Highway program since 1993. It's essential to that our boys and girls realize the importance of giving back to their community. It's one of many community service projects we sponsor. Keep going, you'll pass lights at Mall Drive, Napier, Pipestone, and Empire. At the Britain Avenue flasher you'll turn left, continue through the traffic light at Fair Avenue and find McCord in the second block on the right. You can park in the lot, or keep going, make a right turn on McCord and park in the circular drive. That way you can see what our building looks like, and also take a look at our sign out front.
