I was born in 1969 in St.
Joseph. I am the third child of four, as I have two older brothers
and one younger sister. We are all one year apart from each other.
My mother is a citizen of France; therefore, I have been to France
twenty-eight times in my life so far. My grandmother lives there
still, and I will be visiting her in June when school is on break.
I went to Coloma Schools from kindergarten through twelfth grade. I
then entered Western Michigan University and started my undergraduate
studies. I knew that I wanted to be a teacher since the 5th grade,
so picking my major was easy. I received my bachelor's degree in
December of 1993 and was hired by the Benton Harbor Area School's in
October of 1994.
I started off at Martindale Elementary teaching 6th grade. I have
moved to two other buildings before being assigned to McCord. During that
time I went back to college to further my education. I received my
Master's of Education in December of 2001.
In April of 2000 I was married, and my first child, Kathleen was born on
August 23, 2002. I enjoy my career, my family, and my students.
So far, there is little of my life that I would change. |
