Immunizations
Before enrolling in school, parents are urged to check the dates of their child's immunizations. Current shots are required for each child who attends school. Carefully check the dates of Measles, Mumps, Rubella (MMR) to be sure all were given after 15 months of age. Children immunized for MMR at less than 15 months do not have adequate immunity and will need a booster shot.
School children MUST have current immunizations by state law or they will not be allowed to attend school. Exceptions include situations where immunizations are contrary to the belief of the parents, or where immunizations are contradicted by the child's health. In either case, signed waivers must be on file with the school office.
