LOCAL GOVERNMENT/RELATIONS WITH COUNTY YOUTH SERVICE BUREAU
The referral to court services should be considered as a step in the
process of improvement and long-range planning to help students, their
parents or guardians, and the school. The court is an authoritative
agency and has a positive role in helping some students and their
parents.
The Berrien County Juvenile Court sponsors a Youth
Service Bureau which provides pre-court services to children in danger
of entering the formal court system.
The Board shall support the efforts of the Youth
Service Bureau and the Juvenile Court and shall encourage its
administrative staff to cooperate with this agency.
