SCHOOL-GENERAL GOVERNMENT RELATIONS LOCAL GOVERNMENT/POLICE DEPARTMENT
Alleged criminal acts committed on school property must immediately be
reported by the principal, the assigned assistant principal, or the
person designated as being in charge in the absence of the principal,
to the appropriate police department.
The actions and behavior of students outside of
school hours, away from school premises, and not in control of the
district, is primarily the responsibility of the parent rather than
the district.
It is believed that police authorities and schools
have certain interests in common which may best be served by
cooperation, and it shall be the policy of the Board to maintain a
working relationship with the police departments serving the district.
