GENERAL PUBLIC RELATIONS/PUBLIC GIFTS TO SCHOOLS
By law, the Board has the authority to:

"Receive by assignment, conveyance, gift, devise, or bequest, real or personal property, or an interest therein, for use in maintaining scholarships or for other educational purposes. The board may act as trustee or custodian of the property which shall be used by the board solely for the educational purposes for which it was assigned, conveyed, given, devised, or bequeathed, whether by way of trust or otherwise. The treasurer of the board may give bond to insure proper administration of the property."

The Board shall officially acknowledge and accept all gifts presented to the district that have a declared value of more than $100.00 and the minutes of the meeting shall reflect the acceptance of such gifts. The Board gives the Superintendent the authority to accept and acknowledge any gifts with a monetary value of less than $100.00.
