COMMUNITY USE OF SCHOOL FACILITIES - RULES AND REGULATIONS

  1. The use of any materials on floors, walls, ceilings, or other parts of the facility without specific approval of the Assistant Superintendent for Operations and Facilities is strictly prohibited.

  2. Decorations must be fireproof and shall be erected in a manner that will not be destructive to school property. Such erection shall be approved by the Assistant Superintendent for Operations and Facilities.
  3. The contract holder shall be fully responsible for all damages or loss of school property, including that belonging to students or employees, occurring during the time the building is under the contract.
  4. Smoking inside a school facility is prohibited except in designated areas.
  5. Alcoholic beverages, illegal or controlled substances (as defined by federal, state, and local laws) or drug paraphernalia shall not be possessed, used, or sold on school property at any time.
  6. The local sponsoring group must identify itself with all advertising of the event for which the facility is reserved.
  7. Facilities shall be opened one-quarter of an hour before and closed one-quarter of an hour after the scheduled time of the activity. Any extra time shall be charged to the contract holder.
  8. A group renting any part of a school facility where tickets are sold are cautioned that they are responsible for the collection and remittance to the Internal Revenue Service of all taxes and shall hold the district harmless.
  9. The contract holder shall provide proper supervision at all times.
  10. The contract holder shall be responsible for the observance of all fire and safety regulations.
  11. Rental contracts are not transferable.
  12. All facilities shall be vacated by 11:30 pm. No facilities shall be rented past 10:30 pm, unless special approval has been given by the Superintendent or designee.
  13. Food and beverages of all types are prohibited in all district auditoriums.  Beverages shall not be allowed in gymnasiums.
  14. If any of the above stated rules and regulations are not complied with, the "Building Use Contract" shall become null and void at the discretion of the Superintendent or designee.
