LIBRARIES
The Board believes that teachers
and other professional staff members should have easy access to
current research and professional literature in the field of
education. It therefore shall make provision for a continuing supply
of such materials for the professional library of the District and
those of the District's schools.
A professional
library for use by all District staff members shall be maintained and
operated at Benton Harbor High School. Other collections of
professional materials are maintained in some District school
buildings.
At each school the
principal shall approve purchases of professional materials.
Materials for the District's central professional library shall be
approved by the Assistant Superintendent of Instruction, who shall
consider the requests presented by other administrators and the
instructional staff.
