CURRICULUM DESIGN/SPECIAL PROGRAMS/GIFTED STUDENT PROGRAMS
In order to meet the needs of the academically talented students in the district, the Board shall:

  1. Establish criteria for the identification of students with special academic aptitudes, or with potential for the development of special academic skills.
  2. Establish curricular and instructional activities that will challenge and develop these traits.
  3. Support special projects to sustain the intellectual and cultural interests of these students.
  4. Reinforce the classroom teacher with the necessary resources to accomplish these goals.

To achieve these objectives, the Board shall support and seek additional state and federal funding for academically talented and gifted programs in the district.
