EXTENDED
PROGRAMS/ADVANCED STUDY FOR JUNIOR HIGH STUDENTS
An opportunity shall be provided to those junior high school students
who are capable of being challenged beyond the limits of the regular
mathematics and science programs being offered. When the need arises
and/or parents of junior high students request special consideration
for taking other academic offerings in math and/or science at the high
school, a committee of counselors, teachers, and administrators shall
consider test scores and other relevant data to determine if the
student should be allowed to enroll in high school courses in
mathematics and science. The Board wishes to place students in an
academic program which best meets their academic needs and allows
students to be challenged to the utmost of their abilities.
