BASIC INSTRUCTIONAL PROGRAM/VOCATIONAL-TECHNICAL EDUCATION
The primary purpose of the district's vocational and technical education programs is to provide all-around training in the student's chosen field. It is essential that the district provide students with working experience in the occupational area they have selected. Any person in the district, who will be of employable age at the completion of their vocational program, may enroll.

An evaluation of the vocational education program may be based upon the annual follow-up study which must identify successful completers of all vocational programs. Completers are identified as those: who have found employment is their field of training; who are enrolled in further training; or who have enlisted in the military.

It shall be the Board's policy to explore opportunities for vocational and career education in the district, within the limits of the budget, and in cooperation with federal, state, county, and community agencies.

All vocational programs and proposals shall be developed in consultation with the Berrien County Career Education Planning District, in accordance with state laws and regulations issued by the Michigan State Board of Education, and shall be under the jurisdiction of the district and the Michigan Department of Education, Technical Education Services Division.
