Secretaries to the Superintendent, the Assistant
Superintendent for Business and Finance, the Assistant
Superintendent for Personnel and Evaluation, and all other employees
of the Board.
The Board recognizes the BENTON HARBOR AREA SCHOOLS,
Chapter of LOCAL NO. 953, affiliated with COUNCIL NO. 25 of the
INTERNATIONAL UNION OF THE AMERICAN FEDERATION OF STATE, COUNTY, AND
MUNICIPAL EMPLOYEES, AFL-CIO, Custodial and Maintenance Unit, as the
sole and exclusive collective bargaining representative for all
full-time and part-time custodial employees, maintenance employees,
mailman, stock and delivery driver, storeroom attendant and bus
mechanics of the Board, excluding:
Temporary employees and student help, Custodial
Foreman, Coordinator of Maintenance, warehouse supervisor and all
other employees of the Board.
The Board recognizes the BENTON HARBOR AREA SCHOOLS,
Chapter of LOCAL NO. 953, affiliated with COUNCIL NO. 25 of the
INTERNATIONAL UNION OF THE AMERICAN FEDERATION OF STATE, COUNTY, AND
MUNICIPAL EMPLOYEES, AFL-CIO, Bus Drivers Unit, as the sole and
exclusive collective bargaining representative for all full- time and
regular part-time school bus drivers,
excluding:
Dispatchers, temporary employees, substitutes, all
office and other service employees of the Board.
The Board recognizes the BENTON HARBOR AREA SCHOOLS,
Chapter of LOCAL NO. 953, affiliated with COUNCIL NO. 25 of the
INTERNATIONAL UNION OF THE AMERICAN FEDERATION OF STATE, COUNTY, AND
MUNICIPAL EMPLOYEES, AFL-CIO, Food Service Unit, as the sole and
exclusive collective bargaining representative of food service
employees, including cooks, food servers, and food transportation
drivers, excluding:
Temporary employees, substitute employees,
supervisors, and all other employees of the Board.
The labor agreements between the Board and the above
units are considered appendices to this policy manual. The terms of
the labor agreements shall have the force of Board policy and shall
take precedence over other policies in any instances of conflict.
