In each case, the Board shall approve the broad
purpose and function of the position in accordance with state laws and
regulations, approve a statement of job qualifications and
requirements as recommended by the Superintendent, and delegate to the
Superintendent the task of writing, or causing to be written, a job
description for the position.
Although positions may remain temporarily unfilled,
or the number of persons holding the same type of position reduced in
the event of de-staffing requirements, only the Board may abolish a
position that it has created.
