PROFESSIONAL PERSONNEL
TIME SCHEDULES
The following policies shall govern the time schedules of professional
employees in the district:
- The work year for regular, full-time professional
employees on a ten month basis shall be 190 days.
- Generally, the basic time requirements of
teachers shall be determined by the school day as established for
students and by the instruction and activity schedules set up by the
building principal.
- Every effort shall be made by the administrative
staff to provide a uniform school day for professional personnel
where this is practical.
- The work day shall provide for a duty-free lunch
period for all teachers.
- It shall be the professional responsibility and
obligation of teachers to meet with students, parents, and/or
administrators for conferences before or after the normal school
day.
- Employees shall be expected to devote the working
day to school purposes and shall not engage in personal or union
business except during their non-assigned free time or as otherwise
agreed by the Board.
