PROFESSIONAL PERSONNEL
REEMPLOYMENT
Any tenured teacher whose services are terminated because of a
necessary reduction in personnel shall be appointed to the first
vacancy in the district for which certified and qualified.
Teachers who leave to serve in the armed forces and who make proper
application for reemployment within 90 days after their honorable
discharge shall be restored, whenever possible, to a similar teaching
position without loss of status or seniority.
Teachers who leave the employ of the district without proper
resignation, or without having been granted a leave of absence by the
Board, will be considered for reemployment on the same basis as any
other new applicant. If tenured, they shall forfeit their rights to
the continuing tenure previously acquired.
