PROFESSIONAL PERSONNEL
PROBATION
All teachers during the first two years of employment shall be on
probation, except:
- a tenured teacher from another school district shall be on
probation for one year;
- three years of probation may be required by the Board if a
probationer has not received a provisional certificate by the end of
the first year of employment;
- a probationer, who is transferred upon his/her own request
during the probationary period, may be required to serve three years
of probation; or
- the Board may require a third year of probation if the
probationer's evaluation warrants it.
A probationary teacher shall be employed for the ensuing year
unless notified in writing at least 60 days before the close of each
school year that the teacher's services will be discontinued.
