PERSONNEL
RECORDS
In order that efficient communication may be
maintained, the correct address and current home phone number of all
employees shall be on file in the personnel office. Personnel files
shall also contain records and information regarding compensation, as
may be considered pertinent by the Assistant Superintendent for Human
Resources/Labor Relations.
All personnel records of individual employees of
the district shall be considered confidential and available only to
duly authorized officials of the Board. They shall not be open for
public inspection. The Assistant Superintendent for Human
Resources/Labor Relations shall take the necessary steps to safeguard
against the unauthorized use of personnel records.
Personnel shall have access to their personal
files for the purpose of reviewing the contents therein, provided an
appointment has made with the Assistant Superintendent for Human
Resources/Labor Relations. Privileged and/or confidential information,
as well as personal references obtained at the time of initial
employment, shall be specifically excluded from such review.
