INSURANCE PROGRAM
A student accident insurance plan providing broad coverage shall be
approved by the Board and made available to all students. Such
insurance, when purchased by the parents or guardian, shall cover the
student while at school, on the way to and from school, and when engaged
in any school sponsored activities, excluding interscholastic athletics,
either on school grounds or elsewhere.
The Board shall require and pay for
athletic accident insurance for all school sports and all participants
in grades 7-12. Such insurance shall be in effect only for school
sponsored events, and does not cover students injured on school premises
when they are engaged in activities under the sponsorship of non-school
groups.
