FOOD SERVICE
The District shall take part in the National School Lunch Program and other food programs, which may become available to ensure that all children in the District shall receive proper nourishment. Agreements to participate in such programs shall be reviewed and updated by the Board or designee on an annual basis.

Any meal served to a child who has not provided a proper application to Business Services will have that meal charged to their account. If the account balance reaches $5.00, then the child will be served a peanut butter sandwich and a carton of milk (this constitutes a reimbursable lunch and will be charged to the child's account.) If the account balance is over $10.00, the District will not serve any meals until the balance is paid.

The Superintendent shall establish rules, regulations, and procedures, which conform to state, federal, or other requirements regarding participation in free and reduced price programs and supplementary food programs. Such regulations shall be reported to the Board periodically for its approval.
