AUTHORIZED USES OF VEHICLES
RULES AND REGULATIONS
In order to use a district owned or leased vehicle, the following
regulations shall be observed:
- The driver shall have a valid driver's license.
- All vehicle occupants shall use seat belts as required by state
laws.
- No alcoholic beverages or unlawful drugs shall be used or
transported in district owned or leased vehicles.
- The driver shall not at any time consume or use alcoholic
beverages, unlawful drugs or tobacco products during the use of the
vehicle.
- The seating capacity of the vehicle shall be strictly adhered to.
- Vehicles shall be pre-tripped: Routine inspection of gas, oil,
lights, brakes, tires, etc. shall be performed.
- Vehicles shall be post-tripped: The driver is responsible for
reporting any mechanical problems or deficiencies with the vehicle.
- An odometer reading shall be recorded at the beginning and end of
each trip.
- The interior of all vehicles shall be cleaned of debris at the end
of each trip.
- District employees working on an on-call basis, shall leave their
assigned vehicles at the Service Center when off duty for vacations or
when they are out of the district for a period of two or more days.
Vehicle keys shall be turned over to the respective supervisor.
