EQUIPMENT AND
SUPPLIES MANAGEMENT/LEASING AND RENTING
The Board recognizes that at times it
may be to the advantage of the district to lease vehicles and equipment
instead of purchasing them. After an analysis of the budget and
comparing cost options, the Superintendent or designee shall make a
recommendation concerning which vehicles and/or equipment shall be
leased instead of purchased. The Board delegates to the Superintendent,
the responsibility for approving those leases of vehicles or equipment
that will cost less than $10,000.00 over the life of the contract. The
Superintendent or designee shall bring to the Board for approval any
leases that encumber the district for more than $10,000.00.
