EMERGENCY DRILLS
State law requires that a minimum of six fire, two tornado and two lockdown drills be held during each school year.  Each building administrator shall prepare a definite emergency plan for each and furnish to all staff and students information as to route and manner of exit during fire drills. Fire drills shall be planned in such a way as to accomplish the evacuation of District buildings in the shortest possible time and in the most efficient and orderly fashion.  Tornado and lockdown drills shall be planned and executed by building administrator ( or designee).

All teachers shall take attendance rolls from the class record book as soon as the students have reached their designated emergency location.

Lockdown drills shall be held in accordance with established rules of the District.

The building administrator shall provide the Superintendent or designee with a report on all fire drills, stating the date the drill was held, and the time required for evacuation of the building.
