FISCAL
MANAGEMENT GOALS
The Board recognizes that good fiscal
management is essential to the educational program of the district. To
this end, the Board intends:
- To encourage advance planning through the best
possible budgetary procedures and the use of a budget calendar.
- To explore all practical and legal sources of
dollar income including the aggressive search and application for
federal, state, and private grants.
- To guide the expenditure of funds so as to achieve
the greatest educational returns.
- To require maximum efficiency in accounting and
reporting procedures.
- To make every effort to maintain a level of per
pupil expenditure needed to provide high quality education.
- To make every effort to attain and maintain a ten
percent (10%) fund equity when adopting the budget.
As trustees of community, state, and federal funds
allocated for use in local education, the Board has the responsibility
to protect such funds and use them wisely.
