STUDENT INVOLVEMENT IN
SCHOOL BOARD MEETINGS RULES AND REGULATIONS

Two student
representatives from Benton Harbor High School, approved by the Board
shall sit with the Board and participate according to the following
administrative rules:- Student representatives shall be selected under
rules and regulations drawn up and executed by the high school
principal and after the selection has been made, the principal shall
notify the Superintendent and the Recording Secretary of the names of
those selected.
- Students selected to sit with the Board shall serve
at the pleasure of the Board from the time of their selection through
the conclusion of the fiscal year - June 30th.
- Student representatives shall be notified of all
regular and special meetings via the high school principal.
- Copies of the regular meeting advance Board report
shall be delivered to the high school principal on the date of the
Board meeting for distribution to the student representatives.
- Student representatives shall be permitted to enter
into all discussions and deliberations of the Board at the regular and
special meetings, but shall have no vote.
- Students are expected to abide by the generally
accepted rules of procedure used by the Board in the conduct of
meetings.
