BOARD MEETING NOTIFICATION
Once the Board establishes or reaffirms the date, time, and place of its regular meetings and work sessions at the annual meeting, no further notification of Board members shall be required.

All Board members shall be duly notified of special meetings through one of the following means:

  1. Delivery of notices to members personally at least 18 hours before such meeting is to take place; or
  2. Delivery of notices at the members' residence to some person of the household or at their place of business, at least 18 hours before such meeting is to take place; or
  3. Depositing notices in a government mail receptacle, enclosed in a sealed envelope, plainly addressed to such member, at the last known residence address, at least 48 hours before such meeting is to take place.

Service as above prescribed may be made by a member of the Board, the Secretary of the Board, or any employee of the Board.

It shall be the policy of the Board to publicly announce all regular, special, and work session meetings. Except in the event of rare emergencies, such announcements shall be made in sufficient time for the public to be informed of the meeting through the press at least 18 hours in advance. If the 18 hour printed notice of a special meeting cannot be given the public, the Board Secretary shall make every effort to make the meeting known to the public through other channels.
