PUBLIC HEARINGS
The Board shall provide an
opportunity for citizen involvement by holding public hearings prior to
taking action on closing school buildings, budget adoptions, and other
business of the district that in the opinion of a majority of the Board
members would aid the Board in making decisions in the best welfare of
the district.
Citizens shall be informed of the date,
time, and place of the public hearing in advance of the meeting. They
shall be encouraged to speak to the Board at this public hearing.
Citizens wishing to speak for more than five minutes shall inform the
Superintendent's office prior to the hearing so they might be placed on
the agenda.
