SCHOOL BOARD ATTORNEY
It is the responsibility of the Board
to appoint legal counsel to advise and represent the district. The Board
shall select and retain one or more individuals or law firms, as
necessary, to perform general and specialized legal services, and to act
as legal counsel in such areas as labor relations, bond issues, and
elections.
Counsel shall advise the Board and the Superintendent on
specific legal problems of the district with the exception of the
employment contract with the district when in counsel's opinion, there is
a potential conflict of interest.
Counsel shall attend Board meetings upon the Board's
request.
